What is at stake
Most of the bad surprises on a solar project are decided very early: a cable section that is too tight, an inverter poorly matched to the strings, a missing protection the inspection body will pick up. These choices cost little to correct on a drawing, and a lot once the equipment has been delivered.
What counts is not the peak power but what the site actually produces: shading, orientation, temperatures, soiling. The simulation takes them in.
The number of modules per string and how they are spread over the inverter inputs decides the yield, and sometimes the manufacturer's warranty.
